Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vinnie Vector (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demitrius Capone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vector comes to the cage accompanied by Metallica : Whiplash. Demitrius Capone told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Capone tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Vector was well out of range. Poor timing from Capone.
Capone moves away from the strike by Vector.
Capone avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
The fight stays on the outside here - Vector looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A head kick misses from Vector.
Vector throws a leg kick but Capone sees it coming and moves out of range.
Capone takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Vector moves into range and clinches up with Capone.
Capone wants to break free but Vector has control.
Vector pushes Capone back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Vector tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Capone avoids it.
Vector presses Capone against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Vector creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Capone's defenses.
It looks like Demitrius Capone has been cut.
Capone looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Vector creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Vector lands an elbow inside.
A right hand to the body from Vector.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vector cracks Capone with a nice body shot.

Capone on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Vector breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Capone checks a leg kick nicely.
Vector tries to land a front kick but Capone steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Vector throws a hook to the side of Capone's head but Capone sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A head kick lands from Vector that sends Capone to the canvas. Capone tries to scramble back to his feet but Vector brings him back down into side control.
Capone is rocked!
Capone managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Vector.
Vector connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Capone some visible discomfort.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Vector has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Vector tries to clinch up but Capone circles away and keeps his distance.
Vinnie Vector seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Vector.

Vector throws a half hearted mid kick.
Capone connects with a body shot.
Capone looks to score with a jab to the body but Vector is just out of range.
A big left from Vector misses.
Vector tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Vector fails in his attempt to clinch.
Capone takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Vector throws a leg kick that misses.
Vector fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Capone, pushing him back against the cage.
Vector breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Vector clinches.
Vector lands a body shot.
Vector lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Vector keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Capone's efforts to push away.
Capone takes a knee right on the jaw!
Capone has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Vector creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Vector's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Vector lands a nice looking kick to the body. Capone takes a step back to recover.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Capone stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Vector.

Vector buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Capone circles away from the clinch attempt.
Capone avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Vector connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Capone momentarily.

Vector throws a sloppy body shot
and Capone counters with a three punch combo that has Vector backing up. Vector nods at Capone to acknowledge the strikes.
Capone tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Vector sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Capone to the ground! Vector dives into full mount looking to finish!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Capone is breathing heavily.
Vector is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Capone can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Vector is going olschool here, as he tries to force Capone to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Capone shrugs it off.

Vector takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Vector throws some wild stikes that Capone manages to avoid easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Vector throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Capone really wants to buck Vector off and get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
