Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daizu Mitsusada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willis Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mitsusada comes to the cage accompanied by A-Punk. Willis Young has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Willis Young!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Mitsusada.
Mitsusada thows a left - swing and a miss!
Young throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mitsusada's waist but Mitsusada gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Young off to one side.
Mitsusada avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Young lands a really nice looking cross but Mitsusada seems unphased.

Mitsusada drops Young with a beautiful combination! Young stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Mitsusada is looking for the KO!

It looks like Willis Young has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mitsusada keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Young.
No joy there for Young, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mitsusada cracks Young with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Young.

and Young counters with a single leg into guard. Mitsusada didn't expect that.

Young must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Young seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Mitsusada has control of Young's left arm, preventing Young from doing any damage.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Young throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mitsusada's waist but Mitsusada gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Young off to one side.
Daizu Mitsusada has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Willis Young.

Young closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mitsusada to the mat! Mitsusada manages to get full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Despite being in the dominant position, Willis Young just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Mitsusada fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Mitsusada swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mitsusada will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
An inside leg kick lands from Mitsusada.
Mitsusada connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Mitsusada keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Young takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Mitsusada scores with a crisp jab that stopped Young in his tracks.

Willis Young seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mitsusada lands an uppercut, right on the button! Young tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
