Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dewayne Jennings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Newton Carlos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jennings comes to the cage accompanied by Step Out (by Benny Page). Carlos comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Break Stuff kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The key to victory for Dewayne Jennings has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jennings throws a body punch but Carlos moves out of range.
Jennings tries to close the distance and clinch up but Carlos swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Carlos fails with a takedown attempt.
Carlos takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Jennings is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jennings scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
No joy there for Jennings, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Carlos walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
A left and a right from Jennings both land. Nice combination.

It looks like Newton Carlos has been cut.
Carlos looks gassed!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jennings throws a body punch but Carlos moves out of range.
Carlos tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jennings sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Carlos somewhat.

Jennings throws a hook but Carlos avoids it easily.
Jennings throws a leg kick but Carlos moved away.
Jennings looks to land a combination but Carlos avoids it well.
Jennings throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Carlos takes one to the chin there.
Jennings misses with a head kick.
Jennings throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jennings tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Carlos is able to avoid easily.

Jennings throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Carlos avoids the body shot from Jennings.
Carlos looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jennings is fending him off so far but Carlos persists. Nope, Jennings circles away and we're back to standing.
Jennings throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Carlos throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jennings was covering up waiting for the punch and Carlos finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jennings wants to stand and escape but Carlos is having none of it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Carlos is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Jennings wants to stand and escape but Carlos is having none of it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Carlos looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jennings throws a hook to the side of Carlos's head but Carlos sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Carlos keeps the fight on the outside.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
A big right from Jennings misses.
Carlos blocks a head kick by Jennings.
Jennings looks to score with a jab to the body but Carlos is just out of range.
Jennings tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Carlos was well out of range. Poor timing from Jennings.
Jennings throws a hook but Carlos avoids it easily.
Carlos takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Dewayne Jennings seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carlos takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Jennings throws a jab when Carlos was well out of range.
Carlos will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jennings thows a body shot but no joy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jennings throws a hook but Carlos avoids it easily.
Carlos swats away the attempt to clinch by Jennings.
Jennings throws a push kick but Carlos slaps the foot to one side.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Jennings fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carlos manages to avoid it.
Carlos shoots in for a takedown but Jennings shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Jennings tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Carlos shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Jennings defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Carlos.

Carlos throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Jennings has his hands clasped together but Carlos breaks the hold and Jennings is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Carlos!
