The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elusive throws a big shot that misses.
Michael throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Elusive swings for the body but Michael moves out of range.
Michael shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Elusive but Elusive pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Michael lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Michael misses with a body kick.
Elusive keeps the fight on the outside.
Michael lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

It looks like Joeseph Michael has been cut.

Michael wants to clinch.

Elusive buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Michael is breathing heavily.
Michael throws a series of punches but Elusive avoids them all with ease.
Michael swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Elusive looks to score with a jab to the body but Michael is just out of range.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joeseph Michael. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Elusive connects with a good right hand that stumbles Michael. Michael circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Elusive perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Elusive looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Michael with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Elusive winds up and cracks Michael with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Michael takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Michael takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Elusive creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Elusive works to advance to full mount. Michael defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Michael wants to hold on but Elusive pushes him away.
Michael is in a horrible position here. Elusive smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Michael on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Michael tries to get out of the position.

Elusive working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Michael turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Elusive off and cradles Michael's limp body as Elusive celebrates with his corner.
