The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simpson lands a glancing blow to the side of Dante's head.
Dante will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Simpson shoots in and bounces Dante off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Simpson chips away with some ground and pound.
Dante wants to get back to his feet but Simpson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Simpson won't allow Dante to sweep him here.

Simpson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dante swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Simpson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Dante uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Simpson.

Simpson is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Dante has his hands clasped together but Simpson extends an breaks Dante's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Simpson.
