Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Will Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Ramon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Ramon!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Joseph Jones and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ramon throws a lazy right hand but Baker sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Ramon counters with a series of strikes. Baker will be more careful next time no doubt.

Ramon throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Baker on the side of the head.

Ramon tries to break the clinch but Baker is controlling the position.
Ramon wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Baker has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ramon is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Ramon jumps guard and drags Baker to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Ramon wriggles free and stands up.

Ramon slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Baker ducks under a wild hook from Ramon.
No joy there for Ramon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Baker shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Ramon scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Ramon.
Baker changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ramon tries to avoid it but Baker manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ramon to the ground. Ramon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ramon throws a series of punches but Baker avoids them all with ease.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ramon lands a nice shot that snaps Baker's head back.

Baker dives in and grabs Ramon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ramon pushes down on Baker's head and hops out.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Baker. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Well Ramon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
