Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Spackman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teppi Tarinashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Spackman or perhaps it was just good defense by Tarinashi which made him look bad.
Spackman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Spackman fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Spackman. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Tarinashi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The is referee keeping an eye on Tarinashi - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Spackman drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Tarinashi gets the underhooks and prevents it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Spackman lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tarinashi manages to get to full guard.
Tarinashi manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Tarinashi avoids the attempt from Spackman to control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
