Jacobs takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Jacobs drops Rodrigues with a beautiful combination! Rodrigues stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Jacobs is looking for the KO!
Russell Jacobs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rodrigues looks gassed!
Rodrigues walks straight into a right hand from Jacobs - that's dropped him! Jacobs jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Rodrigues from any more punishment! Rodrigues complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
