Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Filipe Melo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Daniels drops Melo with a beautiful combination! Melo stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Daniels is looking for the KO!

It looks like Filipe Melo has been cut.

Daniels bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Daniels slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Melo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Daniels doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Daniels manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Daniels tries to free his leg and advance position but Melo is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Daniels got a little sloppy there for a moment and Melo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Daniels has managed to get both his arms back between Melo's legs - danger averted.

Daniels looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Daniels throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Daniels tries to clinch up but Melo circles away and keeps his distance.

and Daniels counters with a single leg into guard. Melo didn't expect that.

Melo is looking to sinch up a triangle. Daniels throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Melo's body to avoid the submission. Melo has instead reached around Daniels's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Melo arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
