Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paul Daley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toby Bennett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Daley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Toby Bennett!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daley slips a jab and a cross from Bennett.
Daley is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bennett sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Bennett shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, Bennett seems content to control.
Bennett is looking to advance position but Daley won't allow it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bennett in particular looking to stall.
Bennett's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Daley tries to close the distance and clinch but Bennett swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bennett lands a really nice looking cross but Daley seems unphased.

Daley takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Daley gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bennett to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Bennett is pushing down on Daley's leg trying to pass to half guard. Daley is fighting to maintain full guard but Bennett has managed to sneak the leg through.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bennett won't allow Daley to get back to his feet.
Daley is breathing heavily.
Bennett seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Bennett lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Bennett changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Daley looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Bennett is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Daley will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Bennett decides to stand up, so the ref orders Daley to his feet.
Bennett stalks Daley and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Daley's face. Daley staggers backwards, shaken.
Bennett cracks Daley with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Bennett uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Daley takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bennett pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Toby Bennett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bennett lands a two punch combo.
Bennett scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Daley has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Daley there as he acknowledges the shot.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Bennett is staying tight to Daley's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Bennett has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Toby Bennett showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Bennett throws a right hand that Daley ducks under and follows up with a left that Daley also avoids with ease.
Bennett will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Bennett shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bennett was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Bennett really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Daley.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Bennett thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.

Bennett is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Daley won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Bennett off his unconscious opponent!
