PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Uriah Heath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jayden Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heath comes to the cage accompanied by Asche zu Asche. Parker has chosen Bananas In Pajamas as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Uriah Heath has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Uriah Heath!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jayden Parker!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heath lands with a nice body kick.
Parker looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Parker tries for a takedown but Heath sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Heath lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Jayden Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Heath shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Heath showed some decent athleticism there.
Heath content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Heath scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Heath knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Parker on the ground.

Heath shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Parker is trying to defend but Heath finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Heath really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Heath is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Parker defends it well.

Uriah Heath dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Parker gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Heath counters with a head kick. That will keep Parker thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Heath looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Parker!

Heath is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Parker can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Heath wants to control the pace but Parker is squirming around nicely.
Parker wants to control but Heath is having none of it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Heath has his foot on Parker's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Parker works his way back into a safe position though.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Parker is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there.
Parker wants to stand but Heath is controlling his posture from full guard.

Heath pulls Parker in close to prevent any damage.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Heath feints and as Parker raises his hands in defense, Heath changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Parker is looking for a triangle but Heath pushes his legs off easily.

Parker had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Heath is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Parker Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Heath's back instead.
Heath is in bad spot here.

Heath is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Heath turns into Parker and is now in his guard.
Parker keeping moving, preventing Heath from controlling successfully.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Parker controls Heath momentarily but Heath frees himself.
Heath controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Parker is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Heath decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Parker is trying to control but can't.
Parker is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Parker is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Heath is tapping! Great win for Parker!
