The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bird closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Hansen looking to throw knees to the head but Bird is blocking nicely.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hansen creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Hansen has a couple of punches blocked by Bird.

Bird breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Bird counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Hansen is breathing heavily.
Hansen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
