Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dave Kaplan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shelton Harrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kaplan kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Tenderness by General Public. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaplan on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Kaplan dives in and grabs Harrell's left leg, looking for a takedown. Harrell pushes down on Kaplan's head and hops out.
Harrell throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A swing and a miss from Harrell.
Kaplan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kaplan shoots in looking for a takedown. Harrell tries to sprawl out of it but Kaplan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Harrell manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Harrell is looking to sinch up a triangle. Kaplan throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Harrell's body to avoid the submission. Harrell has instead reached around Kaplan's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Harrell arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
