PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Irvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and logan connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bruce Irvin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, logan connor!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

connor bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Irvin is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Irvin avoids any damage from the ground and pound of connor.
connor throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Irvin works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Irvin kicks off connor and gets to his feet.
Irvin looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Irvin moves out of range as connor throws a body kick.
Irvin throws a leg kick but connor checks it.

connor tries to keep at a distance but Irvin has taken the fight into the clinch.
Irvin lands a knee to the head.

Irvin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - connor has eaten all the pies!
Irvin moves out of range of the strikes.
connor tries to clinch up
and Irvin counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Irvin looks at the referee who does nothing so Irvin lands a crushing right that sends connor to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.
