PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marko Dragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregor Pawlak Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Pawlak Jr's choice of entrance music: Pitbull Song. Pawlak Jr has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gregor Pawlak Jr!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dragon feints and as Pawlak Jr raises his hands in defense, Dragon changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Pawlak Jr looks gassed!
Pawlak Jr has a closed guard, preventing Dragon from standing up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Pawlak Jr throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dragon was covering up waiting for the punch and Pawlak Jr finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Pawlak Jr got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dragon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pawlak Jr has managed to get both his arms back between Dragon's legs - danger averted.
Dragon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Pawlak Jr is not content to let Dragon control the position.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Dragon tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pawlak Jr swivels and escapes.
Pawlak Jr will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pawlak Jr is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Dragon is desperately trying to improve his position but Pawlak Jr has a good base and remains in mount.

Pawlak Jr has hold of Dragon's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dragon manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Dragon manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Dragon tries to clinch up but Pawlak Jr circles away and keeps his distance.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pawlak Jr drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Dragon dives on top into guard.

Pawlak Jr had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Dragon is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Pawlak Jr Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Dragon's back instead.

Dragon slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pawlak Jr is on top in guard.

I would just about give that final round to Gregor Pawlak Jr.
