The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steadman lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

It looks like Brian Li has been cut.

Steadman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Steadman wants it to stay on the feet.

Li takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Brian Li's cut is getting worse.
Steadman tries to bum rush Li with a series of wild strikes but Li uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Steadman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Li is looking to control Steadman's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Li avoid being mounted?
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Li slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Steadman wants to get up but he can't break Li's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Li wants to sweep but no luck.
Steadman tries to stand but Li is controlling from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Li. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Steadman has Li pressed against the ropes.
Steadman lands with a short shot to the head.
Steadman tries to break free but Li pushes him back against the ropes.
Li drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Steadman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Li dodges the punch combination from Steadman.

Steadman scores with a one two! Li had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Jeez, Brian Li's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Steadman throws a combination. Li tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Brian Li's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
