The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones scores with a nice right hand.

It looks like Bobby Sheehy has been cut.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sheehy is defended easily by Jones.
Jones misses with a series of wild punches.
No luck for Sheehy with that takedown attempt.
Sheehy closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Sheehy pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Jones avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

A decent looking cross lands there for Jones.

Sheehy takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Jones lands a nice hook to Sheehy's body. Sheehy takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Bobby Sheehy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jones takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Jones comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Sheehy closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jones did well to prevent Sheehy getting side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sheehy has an Americana. Jones didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Sheehy is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Sheehy hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
