Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Collin Duffy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leopold Fritz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leopold Fritz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Collin Duffy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Leopold Fritz!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fritz shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Duffy as he avoids it easily.
Fritz fails to land the takedown.
Fritz lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.


It looks like Collin Duffy has been cut.
Duffy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Fritz counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Duffy's guard now.
Duffy is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fritz is looking to work some ground and pound but Duffy has wrist control.
Duffy wants to stand but Fritz is controlling the position.

Fritz is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Duffy is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Duffy has escaped and now he's on top!
Fritz is striking but Duffy is not phased and passes to half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Duffy is looking to take a break and control but Fritz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Duffy is thwarting Fritz's attempts to control the position.
Fritz pushes Duffy off looking to stand but Duffy dives back in and keeps control.

Fritz looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Duffy looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Fritz is in trouble now - Duffy has advanced to mount!
Fritz is desperately trying to improve his position but Duffy has a good base and remains in mount.
Duffy throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Fritz tries to lock up and control but Duffy gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Fritz is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Duffy avoids the attempt from Fritz to control.
Fritz flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

Duffy throws some wild stikes that Fritz manages to avoid easily.
Fritz manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Duffy wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Fritz uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
Fritz is adopting a defensive guard.
Duffy trying to control the position from guard on top but Fritz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fritz lands a decent punch to the body there.
Fritz tries to strike from the bottom.
Fritz bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Duffy's guard.
Fritz stops Duffy from standing up.

Duffy looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Fritz passes into side control.
Duffy is trying to control Fritz's posture but Fritz avoids it.
Fritz is putting a hurting on Duffy here, landing some big shots from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

The fight stays on the outside here - Fritz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Duffy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Fritz counters with a single leg into guard. Duffy didn't expect that.
Fritz must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Fritz decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Duffy, up you get!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Fritz jumps guard but Duffy stands there with Fritz around his waist. Fritz gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Collin Duffy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leopold Fritz.
Fritz tries to break free but Duffy pushes him back against the cage.
Fritz has had enough of the clinch but Duffy keeps him there for the moment.

Duffy has hold of one of Fritz's legs. Fritz is fighting the takedown attempt but Duffy gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Fritz closes the distance and clinches up with Duffy, looking for a takedown. Fritz pushes Duffy against the cage but Duffy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Duffy uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Fritz.
Fritz tries for a takedown but Duffy circles away easily
and Duffy counters with a nice low kick that buckles Fritz's knee momentarily.

Duffy drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Duffy decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Fritz closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Duffy throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Fritz moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Fritz connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Duffy some visible discomfort.

Fritz tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fritz has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Fritz stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Fritz throws a combination. Duffy tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

and Duffy moves into the clinch.

Fritz thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Duffy wants to get back to his feet but Fritz is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Duffy keeping moving, preventing Fritz from controlling successfully.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Duffy creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Duffy is trying to ground and pound but Fritz uses the momentary lack of control by Duffy to regain half guard.

Fritz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Duffy winds up and cracks Fritz with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Duffy is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Fritz's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Leopold Fritz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Fritz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
