The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Notus leaves jones with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Notus tries to bum rush jones with a series of wild strikes but jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Notus throws a head kick but jones moves out of range.
jones shoots for a double leg takedown but Notus sprawls well. He's pushed jones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Notus swings and misses with a hook to the body.
jones throws a series of strikes that have Notus backpedaling.

It looks like Boreas Notus has been cut.
jones throws a right hand that Notus ducks under and follows up with a left that Notus also avoids with ease.
jones looks to land a left hand but Notus moved out of range nicely.
jones scores with a jab to the body.
A left lands for jones.
jones's corner calls for a 1-2. jones obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Notus fakes high and swings low for a body shot but jones manages to avoid it.
