Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Patron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller has chosen Drowning Pool - Step Up as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Patron is defended easily by Miller.
Patron fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Miller lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Miller misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Patron.

Patron is trying to hold Miller in close to prevent damage but Miller has managed to pass into half guard.

Miller bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Miller cracks Patron with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Patron takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Patron swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Miller fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Patron is in a horrible position here. Miller smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Miller jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Patron manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Miller decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Patron slips a jab and a cross from Miller.

Patron keeps the fight on the outside.

Miller rushes Patron and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Miller breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Miller throws a one two combo.
Miller throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Miller changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Patron looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Miller tries to advance to mount but can't.
Patron can't do much from the bottom here.
Miller works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Patron tries to bench press Miller off him but Miller keeps the position.

Miller decides to stand back up. Miller steps back and let's Patron get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dave Miller dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Miller tries to close the distance and clinch but Patron swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Miller tightens his grip and picks Patron up, before dumping him to the ground. Patron manages to land in guard.
Miller wants to get up but he can't break Patron's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Patron escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Miller gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Miller stands up and waves to Patron to follow him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Patron throws a combination that misses

and Miller counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Miller.

Patron looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Miller has picked Patron up and slammed him! Patron can't keep hold of the triangle and Miller manages to pass to side control!

Miller has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Miller walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Patron checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

A short body shot lands from Miller as the two fighters clinch.

Miller breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Patron gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Miller to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Patron looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Miller with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Well Miller has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
