The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrera defending well as Burov loads up on a big left hand.
Burov shoots for a double leg takedown but Barrera sprawls well. He's pushed Burov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Barrera tries to close the distance and clinch up but Burov swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Barrera throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Barrera fails with an attempt to clinch.
Barrera stuffs the takedown attempt from Burov. Burov gets slowly back to his feet.
Barrera throws a series of punches but Burov moves out of range.
Barrera shoots in for a takedown but Burov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Barrera shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Barrera takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Marco Antonio Barrera has been cut.
Burov throws a body punch but Barrera moves out of range.
Burov avoids a kick to the body.
Barrera tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

A bone on bone clash there as Barrera blocks the leg kick.
Barrera slaps away a takedown attempt from Burov, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pavel Burov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Burov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Barrera swivels and escapes.
Barrera is looking to clinch but Burov is avoiding it.
Burov misses with an uppercut.

Barrera shoots in looking for a takedown. Burov tries to sprawl out of it but Barrera keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Burov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Burov misses with an uppercut. Barrera saw that one coming.
Barrera slips under a jab.
Barrera shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
letting Burov counter with a right hand.
Burov leaves Barrera with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Barrera shoots in for a takedown but Burov shows good takedown defense.
Burov circles away from the clinch attempt
and Burov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Burov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Barrera defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Burov.
Barrera has a takedown stuffed.
Burov throws a jab but it's blocked by Barrera.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Barrera is defended easily by Burov.
Barrera darts in trying to clinch
and Burov counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Burov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Burov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Burov has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Barrera is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Burov yanks on the arm and Barrera is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Burov.
