The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
sheneir is looking to clinch.

Nastula gets the takedown into side control.
Nastula postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Nastula wants to lay and pray for a moment but sheneir keeps working.
sheneir regains half guard.
sheneir tries to get to full guard but Nastula has control of the leg.

sheneir makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

sheneir changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nastula looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Nastula manages to reverse the position and now he's in sheneir's guard. Nice work there by Nastula.

Nastula has gone for a leg lock! sheneir slips out almost immediately though and dives into Nastula's guard.

Nastula had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. sheneir is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Nastula Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take sheneir's back instead.
