The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas misses with a takedown attempt - Castro sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Vontae Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Castro shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Thomas sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Thomas had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Castro is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Thomas Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Castro's back instead.
Castro is keeping busy.

Thomas has managed to slip his arm under Castro's chin. This could be all over... yep, Castro is tapping out! Submission win for Thomas.
