PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Diddy Waffle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Panda Floor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Floor has chosen Fed Up as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Panda Floor is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Diddy Waffle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Panda Floor!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waffle has a takedown stuffed.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!
Floor defending well as Waffle loads up on a big left hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Floor scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Floor has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Waffle wants to clinch up but Floor keeps it at a distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Floor closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Floor lands in his opponent's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Waffle keeping full guard, as Floor tries to pass.

Waffle is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Floor is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Waffle wants to stand up but Floor is controlling him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Waffle striking off his back but it's not causing Floor any problems.
Waffle is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Waffle really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Floor won't allow Waffle to sweep him here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Floor thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Panda Floor dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Floor misses with a series of wild punches.
Waffle gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Floor counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Waffle scores with a hook to the body.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Floor as Waffle tries to tie him up.

Floor works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Waffle looking to control.
Floor slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Floor wants to lay and pray for a moment but Waffle keeps working.
Floor blocks the strikes from Waffle.
Waffle struggling a bit here.
Waffle knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Floor on the ground.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Floor scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Waffle to see if he's OK.
Waffle struggling a bit here.
Waffle seems a little lost for a moment, as Floor dominates the positioning.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Waffle tries to clinch but Floor moves away
and Floor counters with a head kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Panda Floor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Waffle scores with a jab to the jaw.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Waffle shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Floor counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Waffle!

Floor controlling from mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Floor trying to control but Waffle is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Floor thowing shots but they're missing.

Floor goes for an armbar but Waffle turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Waffle.
Floor wants to sweep here but Waffle controlling him for the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Floor looking to control.
Panda Floor is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Diddy Waffle has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Waffle accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Floor pushes Waffle off and scrambles back to his feet.
Waffle shoots in for a double leg but Floor sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

And that's the end of the fight!
Panda Floor comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Floor winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
