Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between King Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, King Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ben Ward!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee slips a jab and a cross from Ward.
Lee shoots in but no luck this time.
Lee fails to land the takedown.
Ward fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ward misses with a double jab.
Lee shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ward but Ward pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for King Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ward fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lee sprawls well initially but Ward persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Lee flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Lee tries to get to full guard but Ward has control of the leg.

Lee on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lee tries to get out of the position.
Lee moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Ward wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving.

Lee utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Ward won't allow Lee to sweep him here.
Lee is working hard here to advance position.
Lee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Ward tries to clinch but Lee is having none of it.

Lee feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Lee's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Ward controls Lee momentarily but Lee frees himself.

Ward working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lee doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lee manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Lee distracts Ward with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Ward really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ward is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Ward moves in looking to clinch but Lee pushes him off.
Lee blocks the body kick.
Ward fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lee manages to avoid it.
Lee shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Ward counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lee's guard now.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Ward gets a clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ward goes for a takedown attempt but Lee pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Ward feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ben Ward will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Ward closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Lee has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ward is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lee slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Lee takes a little break here. Ward wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

That's time! Lee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
