Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mr Jobber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Barrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mr Jobber!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marco Barrera!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrera lets loose with a powerful body kick. Jobber will feel that in the morning.

Barrera gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Barrera jumps guard and drags Jobber to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Barrera can do anything to dispel that myth.
Barrera is pulling down on Jobber's head. It's preventing any offense from Jobber, at least for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jobber postures up in Barrera's guard and throws a big left but Barrera blocks it.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Barrera shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jobber manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Barrera is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jobber knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Barrera has hold of Jobber's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jobber manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Barrera wants to finish this one by submission but Jobber is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Barrera.

Barrera is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Jobber. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

Despite being in the dominant position, Marco Barrera just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Marco Barrera showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

and Barrera holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Barrera is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Barrera has clasped his hands together around Jobber's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Barrera shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jobber's guard.

Barrera feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Mr Jobber has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Barrera drops back looking for a leg! Jobber is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jobber manages to kick Barrera off! Barrera jumps back into Jobber's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jobber throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Barrera manages to pass to side control.
Barrera works to advance to full mount. Jobber defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Well Barrera has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
