The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abdellaoui scores with a decent looking hook.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Abdellaoui can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Abdellaoui lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Horrible takedown by Toombs or perhaps it was just good defense by Abdellaoui which made him look bad.
Toombs looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Abdellaoui is fending him off so far but Toombs persists. Nope, Abdellaoui circles away and we're back to standing.
Farid Abdellaoui seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Abdellaoui fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Toombs looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Toombs gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Oh Toombs is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Abdellaoui drops Toombs with a straight right hand, right on the button! Abdellaoui follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
