Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Guy Montag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivo Lopes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Guy Montag looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Montag tries to lock up and control but Lopes gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lopes fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Lopes drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Montag manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Lopes has Montag in his guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Lopes is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Montag will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Ivo Lopes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Lopes drops Montag with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Montag looks back up at him and smiles so Lopes waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Horrible takedown by Lopes or perhaps it was just good defense by Montag which made him look bad.

Lopes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Lopes has his feet on Montag's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Lopes shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Montag pinned against the cage. Montag gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The fighters circle momentarily. Lopes darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Montag feints and as Lopes raises his hands in defense, Montag changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Well Lopes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
