Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Shogun Sherk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mighty Mouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shogun Sherk has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Shogun Sherk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mighty Mouse!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Sam Margolis and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mouse is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sherk sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Mouse shoots for a double leg takedown but Sherk sprawls well. He's pushed Mouse's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Mouse wants to sweep but no luck.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Mouse drives through with a takedown into guard.

Sherk wants to get back to his feet but Mouse is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Sherk escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mouse gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mouse is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Sherk is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Sherk has escaped and now he's on top!
Sherk content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Mouse will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Sherk lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Sherk thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Sherk would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Mouse shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Sherk keeping moving, preventing Mouse from controlling successfully.
Mouse postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Mouse drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sherk manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mouse has Sherk in his guard.
Sherk passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
Mouse tries to roll over but Sherk keeps him under control.
Mouse flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Mouse throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Mouse is staying active underneath Sherk, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Sherk tries to stand but can't do so whilst Mouse controls his leg.
Sherk really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action!


Mouse shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Sherk counters by moving into the clinch.

Mouse breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mouse fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Mouse shoots in and bounces Sherk off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sherk pushes a forearm under Mouse's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Mouse is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Shogun Sherk!
