PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Toki Wartooth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Buscemi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Wartooth might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Murmaider. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Buscemi gets a takedown into half guard.

Buscemi is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Wartooth is looking for a sweep. Buscemi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Buscemi scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Wartooth moves into full guard.

Buscemi thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Wartooth scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Wartooth decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Wartooth thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Buscemi's head.

Buscemi is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Wartooth pulls his head out easily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Buscemi misses with the combination.
The fight stays on the outside here - Wartooth looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Wartooth wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Wartooth buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Buscemi is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Buscemi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Buscemi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wartooth pinned against the cage. Wartooth gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Buscemi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wartooth's waist but Wartooth gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Buscemi off to one side.
Wartooth catches Buscemi with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Buscemi has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Wartooth finds it's way round the side to connect with Buscemi's head.
Buscemi takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Buscemi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wartooth as he jumps to the side.
Toki Wartooth has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Buscemi.
Wartooth lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Wartooth.
Wartooth lands a jab to the nose.
Buscemi takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Buscemi crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Wartooth - the referee stops the clock and Buscemi gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Wartooth. Buscemi manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Wartooth throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Wartooth feints and then cracks Buscemi's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Buscemi down.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Buscemi is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wartooth fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Buscemi out cold! Brutal finish!
