The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
No joy there for Leclerc, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Griffin slips a jab and a cross from Leclerc.

Griffin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Leclerc pushes Griffin away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Griffin gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Griffin tries to advance to mount but can't.

Griffin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Leclerc has escaped the position, nice work there.
Griffin trying to control the position but Leclerc is working away.
Griffin throws a strike aimed at the side of Leclerc's head but Leclerc avoids it well.
Griffin tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Leclerc bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Griffin shoots for a double leg takedown but Leclerc sprawls well. He's pushed Griffin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Leclerc displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Griffin throws out the jab.
A nice combination there by Leclerc.
Philippe Leclerc is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Griffin is breathing heavily.
Leclerc scores with a jab. Griffin acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
