Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Fernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Swick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fernandez comes to the cage accompanied by Chapterhouse - Pearl. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of New York, Pedro Fernandez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Swick!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, David Schapiro and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandez takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Fernandez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fernandez lands the left hand.
It looks like Mike Swick has been cut.
Swick tries for a takedown but Fernandez sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Fernandez displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Swick.
Fernandez fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Fernandez swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Fernandez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
No luck for Swick with that takedown attempt.
Pedro Fernandez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Swick.
Fernandez tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Swick was well out of range. Poor timing from Fernandez.

Fernandez throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Swick stumbling backwards into the cage! Swick bounces back off the cage towards Fernandez, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Fernandez lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Fernandez celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Pedro Fernandez!
