Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Pireli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phillip Anselmo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phillip Anselmo will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pireli drives through and clinches with Anselmo against the cage.

Pireli has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Anselmo is trying to keep an underhook but Pireli manages to get the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Pireli is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pireli wants to lay and pray for a moment but Anselmo keeps working.

Pireli is working for a kimura but Anselmo is defending it quite comfortably.
Anselmo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Pireli wants to stand up but Anselmo is controlling the position.
Anselmo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pireli's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pireli's back!

Anselmo is working for a rear naked choke. Pireli is not defending it well and Anselmo has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Pireli refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Pireli's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
