The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

James Rae seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stefanov is looking to clinch but Rae is avoiding it.

It looks like Vasil Stefanov has been cut.
Rae connects with a good right hand that stumbles Stefanov. Stefanov circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Rae lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rae throws a hook to the side of Stefanov's head but Stefanov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Rae sizes up Stefanov with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
