The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jonak uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Grocz.
Jonak misses with a double jab.

Kamil Jonak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Grocz gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Grocz had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Jonak is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Grocz Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jonak's back instead.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Grocz is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Jonak defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Jonak rolls, trying to escape but Grocz keeps control of the position.
Grocz connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Jonak to escape the position.

You can see the frustration on Jonak's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Jonak has had enough of the clinch but Grocz keeps him there for the moment.

A frustrated look appears on Jonak's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Jonak wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Grocz has him pressed against the cage.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Grocz here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Jonak is trying to force a seperation but Grocz has the dominant position.

Grocz has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jonak uses from the top position.

Grocz is trying to stick to Jonak's back but Jonak is turning into Grocz. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Grocz's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Jonak.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
