The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dorian misses with a takedown attempt - Multio sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Dorian shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Multio displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dorian.
Aulis Multio has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Renzo Dorian.

Dorian throws a right and a left that both miss.
Dorian tries to close the distance and clinch up but Multio swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Renzo Dorian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Multio counters with a crisp one two that drops Dorian! Multio thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Dorian to his feet! Dorian is in big trouble!

Dorian stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Multio swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dorian is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Multio has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Dorian off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Dorian closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Multio is staying active underneath Dorian, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Dorian wants to advance to full mount but Multio doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Dorian is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Multio is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Multio has escaped and now he's on top!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dorian uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Multio.

and Multio counters with a nice right hand that sends Dorian toppling to the canvas! Dorian scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Multio finish him?!

Dorian is rocked!

That has opened up Renzo Dorian's cut even more.
Multio ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Dorian's jaw. Dorian's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Multio does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
