Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lance McBruce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Blink 182 feat Robert Smith - All of This kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - McBruce throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Smith defending well as McBruce loads up on a big left hand.

McBruce had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Smith is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. McBruce Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Smith's back instead.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Lance McBruce has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Smith.
McBruce throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and McBruce counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

McBruce feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

McBruce drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McBruce jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

McBruce has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Smith can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
