Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between ryan rippa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liste Pik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

rippa gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Pik seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

rippa throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pik was covering up waiting for the punch and rippa finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Pik has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes rippa off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

rippa wants to control but Pik postures up.

rippa pushes Pik away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Pik gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Pik decides to stand up, so the ref orders rippa to his feet.

rippa drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Pik lands with a nice combination. rippa backs away looking to recover.
ryan rippa is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pik throws a nice looking combination but rippa bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Pik stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

rippa is fighting to break Pik's control of his arms but Pik is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Pik pushes rippa off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
No joy there for Pik, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Pik throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Pik bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps rippa's head backwards.

rippa needs to keep his hands up - Pik had a free shot at his head there.
rippa moves out of range of the body kick from Pik.
Liste Pik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pik closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pik lands in his opponent's guard.
Pik wants to pass the guard but rippa is keeping the position.

Pik controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
rippa throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Liste Pik showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Pik shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with rippa but rippa pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Pik drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pik jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Pik gets to his feet - rippa follows without any prompting.

Pik changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. rippa looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pik perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Pik is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Pik wants to control from the top but rippa keeps moving.

Liste Pik comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Pik has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
