Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jean Pierre Barda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Bronson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jean Pierre Barda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charlie Bronson!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bronson looks to land a left hand but Barda moved out of range nicely.

Barda drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Barda prevents Bronson from escaping the position.
Barda in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Barda postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Barda controls the position.

Bronson is trying to control Barda's posture but Barda avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barda wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bronson keeps working.
Barda tries to advance to mount but Bronson denies him.
Bronson is looking to regain half guard here but Barda keeps moving and retains side control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Barda bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A jab from Bronson misses.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Barda.
Barda ducks under a wild hook from Bronson.
Bronson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Barda sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Barda lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Barda shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Barda takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Bronson avoids a series of strikes thrown by Barda.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Bronson wants to control but Barda is having none of it.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

A decent looking cross lands there for Bronson.


It looks like Jean Pierre Barda has been cut.
Bronson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Barda.
Bronson cracks Barda with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Barda looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Bronson finish him?
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

so Barda counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Barda wants to control from the top but Bronson keeps moving.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jean Pierre Barda just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Bronson cracks Barda with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Barda darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Barda stalling away here and it's allowed Bronson to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Barda passes into half guard.
Barda not doing much here.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bronson is not content to let Barda control the position.
Barda tries to pass to full mount but Bronson defends it.

Barda escapes and gets back to his feet.

Barda closes the distance and clinches up with Bronson, looking for a takedown. Barda pushes Bronson against the cage but Bronson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bronson throws a big shot that misses.
Barda tests Bronson's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Bronson drops Barda with a left right combo! Bronson follows him down to the ground into side control.

Barda manages to get back to half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Barda is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Bronson is thwarting Barda's attempts to control the position.
Barda is looking to improve his position.

Barda is looking to get back to full guard here but Bronson has managed to pass to side control instead.
Barda is looking to improve his position but Bronson isn't that keen on the idea.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bronson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Charlie Bronson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Bronson lands a nice shot that snaps Barda's head back.
Bronson lands a slapping body shot.
Barda takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.


Jean Pierre Barda's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Oh, that's a big right hand from Bronson and Barda goes tumbling to the canvas! Bronson follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.


Barda is rocked!


Jeez, Jean Pierre Barda's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Bronson tries to stand but can't do so whilst Barda controls his leg.
Barda is looking to control Bronson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Barda avoid being mounted?
Bronson content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Bronson is looking to advance position but Barda won't allow it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Barda lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bronson!

Bronson is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Bronson wants to hold on but Barda pushes him away.

Charlie Bronson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Bronson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
