PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between los de (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and boy talahib itim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). de kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is poisen. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
de tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but itim swivels and escapes.
de tries to clinch but itim is having none of it.
de keeps the fight on the outside.
itim throws a head kick that misses.
de keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
de doesn't succeed with the takedown

and itim counters with a nice double leg into guard.
itim wants to control from the top but de keeps moving.
de wants to sweep but no luck.
itim trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
itim wants to stand but de has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
de is trying to control the position but itim postures up.
itim trying to control the position from guard on top but de is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

de looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

de is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst itim is controlling him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
de displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from itim.
de changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. itim tries to avoid it but de manages to keep hold of a leg and drag itim to the ground. itim escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for los de. That's going to take a lot out of him.
de is breathing heavily.
de throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around itim's waist but itim gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing de off to one side.
itim darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

It looks like los de has been cut.
de shoots for a double leg takedown but itim sprawls well. He's pushed de's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

itim looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for de!
de is bucking up trying to escape but itim cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
itim cracks de with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
itim takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
de is wriggling around trying to escape.
de has given up his back. Will we see itim going for some submissions?
itim is looking to control de but de is wriggling around and keeping busy.
itim looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
de knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for itim on the ground.

itim is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
de rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
de has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. itim is working away from the top position though.

itim is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! de is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
