Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Amir Verdune (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Finnegan Brewzer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brewzer has chosen The Way I Feel as his entrance music. Amir Verdune has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Amir Verdune!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Finnegan Brewzer!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brewzer shoots in but no luck this time.
Verdune fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Verdune stuffs the takedown attempt from Brewzer. Brewzer gets slowly back to his feet.
Verdune throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Brewzer swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Verdune counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Verdune tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brewzer paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Verdune's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Verdune seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Verdune, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
