Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roni Siili (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pekka Peruna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Pekka Peruna was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peruna tries to clinch but Siili is having none of it.
Siili avoids a kick to the body.
Peruna takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Pekka Peruna has been cut.
Peruna tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Peruna closes the distance and pushes Siili back into the ropes.

Siili fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Peruna.

and Siili counters with a head kick that drops Peruna to the mat! Peruna scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

That has opened up Pekka Peruna's cut even more.
Siili tried to score with a low kick but Peruna checks it.
Siili pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Peruna tries to clinch but Siili moves away
and Siili counters with a low kick, right behind Peruna 's knee.
Siili misses with a head kick.
Peruna blocks the body kick.
Peruna takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
A slapping body kick lands there for Siili.
Siili goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Siili plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Siili throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Peruna tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Siili counters with a three punch combo that has Peruna backing up. Peruna nods at Siili to acknowledge the strikes.

and Siili counters with an outside leg kick.
Pekka Peruna seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Siili throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Peruna closes the distance looking to clinch
and Siili counters with a head kick. That will keep Peruna thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

The cut above Pekka Peruna's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Siili throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Peruna's head.

Pekka Peruna's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Siili throws a nice looking combination but Peruna bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Peruna fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Siili, pushing him back against the ropes.
Peruna keeps control of Siili as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Siili is trying to break the clinch but Peruna is controlling him.
Siili is trying to force a seperation but Peruna has the dominant position.
Peruna with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Peruna has Siili pressed against the ropes, preventing Siili from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Peruna keeps control of Siili as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Peruna pushes off an throws an elbow but Siili leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Siili looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Siili blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Peruna has Siili pressed against the ropes, preventing Siili from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Peruna misses with a knee strike.
Peruna lands a good knee to the midsection. Siili won't want to take too many of those.

Siili pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Siili throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Siili stalks Peruna and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Peruna's face. Peruna staggers backwards, shaken.
