Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Mcarthy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and steven thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). thompson has chosen so cold as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
thompson throws a head kick that misses.
Mcarthy tries to score a power double leg takedown but thompson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mcarthy somewhat.
thompson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Mcarthy dives in and grabs thompson's left leg, looking for a takedown. thompson pushes down on Mcarthy's head and hops out.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Mcarthy.
thompson is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Mcarthy wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by thompson, who protects the arm well.
thompson is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Mcarthy working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Mcarthy scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at thompson to see if he's OK.

Mcarthy is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but thompson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Mcarthy tries to score with some ground and pound. thompson controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Mcarthy has an Americana. thompson didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Mcarthy is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Mcarthy hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
