Fournier's entrance music is L.L.Cool J - Mama said knock you out. A fine choice. Gerra is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Queen - Another One Bites The Dust. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gerra doesn't manage to clinch there - Fournier circles away.
Fournier pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Fournier tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gerra was well out of range. Poor timing from Fournier.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gerra had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Fournier is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gerra Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Fournier's back instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gerra is trying to control but Fournier is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.

Gerra goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Fournier is on top in guard.
