Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Isido Izmailov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rex KwonDo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Izmailov comes to the cage accompanied by Styx - Renegade. Rex KwonDo has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Izmailov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Izmailov misses with a head kick.
KwonDo shoots in and drives through. Izmailov sprawls well.
Izmailov throws a right and a left that both miss.
Izmailov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

I looks like KwonDo might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
KwonDo is figuring out what he wants to do next.

KwonDo seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
KwonDo thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

KwonDo is trying to control the action in half guard but Izmailov is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Izmailov is trying to maintain the position but KwonDo is very close to passing his half guard.

KwonDo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That was a close round but I would say that Isido Izmailov will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


KwonDo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Izmailov as he jumps to the side.
Izmailov tests KwonDo's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Izmailov throws an overhand right that lands on KwonDo's shoulder, as KwonDo tries to avoid the shot.
KwonDo checks the leg kick.
KwonDo blocks a head kick by Izmailov.
Izmailov misses with a two punch combination.
Isido Izmailov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Izmailov throws a hook but KwonDo blocks it.
Izmailov throws a chopping leg kick but KwonDo manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Izmailov's corner calls for a 1-2. Izmailov obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
The fighters circling - Izmailov throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

KwonDo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - KwonDo lands in his opponent's guard.
KwonDo wants to pass the guard but Izmailov is keeping the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

KwonDo throwing strikes but missing.
KwonDo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Izmailov can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as KwonDo controls the pace.
KwonDo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Izmailov works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
KwonDo throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
KwonDo loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
KwonDo passes Izmailov's left leg - he's now in half guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

KwonDo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Izmailov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Izmailov controls KwonDo momentarily but KwonDo frees himself.

Izmailov on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
KwonDo looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. KwonDo lands a nice short elbow.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
KwonDo with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

KwonDo is looking for a kimura but Izmailov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for KwonDo to get the leverage.
Izmailov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for KwonDo on the ground.
KwonDo trying to pass the guard but Izmailov defending well.

KwonDo is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
KwonDo looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
KwonDo passes to side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rex KwonDo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



KwonDo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than KwonDo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for KwonDo. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

KwonDo working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Izmailov turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips KwonDo off and cradles Izmailov's limp body as KwonDo celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Rex KwonDo!
