PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Matthews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ice Cold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matthews wants to clinch up but Cold keeps it at a distance.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Matthews throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Matthews tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cold paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Cold throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Matthews was covering up waiting for the punch and Cold finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Matthews wants to get back to his feet but Cold is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Cold stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Matthews swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cold throws a strike but Matthews rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

That was a close round but I would say that Vincent Matthews will probably get the nod.

Matthews is pressed up against the cage. Cold has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Matthews down to the mat. Matthews avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Cold clinches up with Matthews and pushes him back against the cage.
Cold jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Matthews walks away with a smile on his face. Cold gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
