The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bangaru gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Johnson to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Bangaru had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Johnson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Bangaru Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Johnson's back instead.

I really don't envy Johnson right now.

Johnson rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Bangaru works his foot free and advances to mount.

Johnson tries to hold on but Bangaru pushes him away.
Johnson is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Johnson is looking to improve his position but Bangaru isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
