The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

G closes the distance and clinches.

G drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hayes gets the underhooks and prevents it.

G manages to break the clinch.
G shoots in but Hayes avoids the takedown attempt easily.

G manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hayes manages to get himself to full guard.

Billy Hayes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
G has Hayes pressed against the cage.
Hayes wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
G gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hayes.
Hayes tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. G smiles and moves away.

G changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hayes looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
