Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Melvin Saddleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Metcalf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Metcalf has chosen "Highway to the Danger Zone," by Kenny Loggins as his entrance music. Melvin Saddleman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saddleman slips a jab from Metcalf.
Saddleman fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Metcalf keeps the fight on the outside.
A punch combination from Metcalf misses.
Nice body kick from Metcalf.
Metcalf bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Saddleman is trying to improve his position.
Metcalf decides to stand back up.
Metcalf feints and as Saddleman raises his hands in defense, Metcalf changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Metcalf wanted to stand there but Saddleman had control of the position.
Saddleman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Saddleman has a closed guard, preventing Metcalf from standing up.
Metcalf throwing strikes from guard but Saddleman blocks nicely.

Saddleman is breathing heavily.
Metcalf moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Metcalf lands a really nice looking cross but Saddleman seems unphased.

Mike Metcalf seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Metcalf closes the distance and clinches up with Saddleman, looking for a takedown. Metcalf pushes Saddleman against the cage but Saddleman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Metcalf moves into the clinch successfully.
Saddleman has had enough of the clinch but Metcalf keeps him there for the moment.
Saddleman wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Metcalf has him pressed against the cage.
Saddleman tries to pull guard but Metcalf won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.

Metcalf manages to break the clinch.
Saddleman with a lazy takedown attempt
and Metcalf counters by moving into the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Melvin Saddleman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Metcalf is trying to trip Saddleman. He has hold of a leg but Saddleman is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Metcalf persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Metcalf wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Saddleman's closed guard. He's half up but Saddleman has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Saddleman pivots and extends the arm, Metcalf falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Saddleman! Well done that man!
