These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Crash Kaboomer!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker throws a head kick but Kaboomer moves out of range.
Kaboomer throws a sloppy head kick and Walker moves out of range easily.

Kaboomer scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Kaboomer cracks Walker with a big elbow.

Kaboomer thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Kaboomer working the ground and pound but Walker is defending the strikes.
I wouldn't like to be where Walker is right now.
You can see the frustration on Walker's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The strikes coming from Kaboomer are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Walker wants to control but Kaboomer postures up.
Walker is trying to get back to half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kaboomer tries to clinch up but Walker circles away and keeps his distance.

Kaboomer moves into range and clinches up with Walker.

Walker is looking to break free of the clinch but Kaboomer has double underhooks.

Kaboomer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Walker misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kaboomer.
A nice leg kick lands there from Kaboomer.
Kaboomer blocks a head kick by Walker.
Kaboomer lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Kaboomer lands a nice leg kick that just misses Walker's sensitive parts.
Crash Kaboomer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kaboomer lets loose with a powerful body kick. Walker will feel that in the morning.
Kaboomer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Walker works over Kaboomer's head and body with a nice combination.
Kaboomer looks gassed!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Walker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kaboomer circles away quickly and effectively.

Kaboomer avoids a kick to the body.

and Walker counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Kaboomer throws an overhand right that lands on Walker's shoulder, as Walker tries to avoid the shot.

and Walker counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Walker throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Walker will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jake Walker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kaboomer slips a jab and a cross from Walker.
Kaboomer throws a shot from downtown. Walker moves away and avoids it.
Walker scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
A big right from Walker misses.
Kaboomer misses with a head kick.
Kaboomer lands a jab to Walker's midsection.
Walker misses the shot to the body.
Kaboomer pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kaboomer wants to land a leg kick but Walker is out of range.

Walker thuds a left hand into Kaboomer's body.
Walker scores with a jab. Kaboomer acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Walker lands with an uppercut that bounces Kaboomer off the cage and back into rage.
Walker will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Walker lands a two punch combo.
Walker throws a series of strikes that have Kaboomer backpedaling.
Walker bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kaboomer's head.
Kaboomer moves away from the strike by Walker.
Kaboomer has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Walker.
A decent looking cross lands there for Walker.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Walker throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kaboomer takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Walker misses with a wild combination.
Walker throws a series of punches but Kaboomer moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jake Walker will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Walker takes a swing at Kaboomer's ribcage but misses.
Kaboomer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A left and a right from Walker both land. Nice combination.
A head kick by Kaboomer misses
and Kaboomer takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
BOOM! Walker lands a beautiful left hook that drops Kaboomer. Kaboomer tries to recover but Walker is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Kaboomer lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jake Walker!
